Welcome to the Emerald City!
Seattle is rich not only in rainy days but also in history! I began my knowledge of Seattle history while researching my husband's family tree. His great grandfather had an entrepreneurial spirit as a young man and travelled from New York to the Washington Territory in the mid 1880's. On my search to find out more about him I discovered a treasure trove of information; from archives and libraries to newspapers and local lineage societies.
